IMS Session presented by Helene Segura. The Inefficiency Assassin!Presented on Thursday May 9, 2019 Boosting Productivity: Gaining Back Time for Yourself and Your Team.Helene did a great job with her presentation. She was engaging, challenging, funny and very informative. Our attendees left with a plan, tools, and tips on how to structure their time more effectively. Providing more time for themselves and their teams. As well as their families! One tool is the 3 + 3.Set 3 main priorities you need to accomplish the next day. And 3 additional items you want to accomplish after you complete the first 3. Address them the evening before. Why? It helps relieve stress and worrying about what needs to be done tomorrow. You have figured it out and a plan is in place.Start the next day with the top 3 items. Don't check email first thing in the morning. It will have a tendency to distract you and not make you focus on the top 3 objectives. Overall our attendees found the day extremely helpful and they left with action items to put in place.Thank you again Helene! @helenesegura #management #leadershipdevelopment #ims

Hmmm. Gen Z ages 22 to 26 are taking Sabbaticals?? Did they earn the right to take this "paid" time off? In my opinion it's a resounding NO.Who has the right for "paid" sabbaticals? People who have put the time in and earned the right to be off for an extended period of time with pay! 22 to 26 and you need a sabbatical already?? Sorry folks. Put your time in and earn it!! I feel very strongly on this issue. I have NEVER taken a sabbatical in over the 50 some years I've been working. My sabbaticals came when I was laid off or job discontinued! And I was receiving unemployment which was NOT my full salary! Come on now. We are getting a little lazy here. My opinion only. But I feel strong enough to make my opinion heard.

Attracting and Retaining Quality Employees. Utilize the IMS Leadership Program to enhance Leadership Skills.

Hello All:I have a question and a concern. The Question: Do you think LinkedIn has become Facebook? Twitter? etc...The Concern:My understanding of LinkedIn was to be a Professional Networking forum. I feel as though LinkedIn has become more about getting "friends"/connections, Likes for a post, etc.I would like to see more interaction between connections. Ask a question. Ask for help. Ask to have a call or connect to discuss a problem or issue. And dare I say? Yes, ask for business! Why is everyone so afraid of saying no? I'm not attempting to bother you. And it's not a crime to say no. Why? Because it means you have at least given it some consideration and not totally ignored my message. Others and people like me that are attempting to maintain a business or grow a business, may have a program/service or item that can be helpful to you if you take a few minutes to hear us out and give me an honest reply of yes, let's talk. Or sorry I don't have a need at this time.I believe it's called LinkedIn for a reason. To LINK to people and develop a network of professionals. Without having to go to a "networking session".I write this because I have become a little disillusioned with LinkedIn and feel as though it's lost its meaning.Let me know your thoughts.

What a unique topic - "Quitting". Has a bad ring to it right? But when you really break it down it can be very beneficial in certain situations. You have to realize when a project is not going to achieve its goal. Will you continue to invest good money after bad with a possible end effect of bankruptcy? So Quitting can actual be a good thing in the long run.I urge you to read Annie Duke's book "Quit". A great read.Come out and hear Annie live and in person at the PSPS Annual Leadership Forum October 5th, 2023. https://lnkd.in/e7uhJn7q Annie Duke Dean Becker Julie Wright, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
