As any avid Wegmans shopper will tell you, the store stands apart from the rest for its great food selection, organic foods, and ready-to-eat meals — which you can find at your local store’s hot food bar.
Although Wegmans does have more expensive options on the shelves, you can also pick up some very reasonably priced items this summer. From seasonal produce to frozen meat, many of these options cost $4 or less per serving. Considering what you’d get from your local restaurant, that’s a steal.
If you’re looking for some great deals that are generally cheaper at Wegmans during the summer, you’re in the right place. GOBankingRates perused the store’s website and here’s what we found. You can also check out our dos and don’ts of shopping at Wegmans.
Wegmans Breakfast Blend Coffee Capsules
Price: $3.99
Do you need your daily cup of coffee? At Wegmans, you can get light roast coffee capsules for under $4. They’re made from 100% Arabica coffee beans and have nutty, fruity notes. You can use them with Keurig K-Cups and serve your coffee hot or iced.
The Wegmans Breakfast Blend comes with 12 capsules. That’s about $0.33 per cup of joe.
Wegmans Grade AA Large Eggs
Price: $2.99
Eggs were notoriously expensive last year, but they’ve come down in price. At Wegmans, you can get a dozen for under $3 — that’s just $0.25 per egg.
Whether you want to bake a cake, make a fried cheese and egg melt, or whip up a breakfast omelet, these are a great choice. You can also pick up the rest of what you need for any of these dishes at Wegmans. Certain items, like specialty cheeses, might even be on sale, so keep an eye out for those deals.
Wegmans Baby-Cut Carrots
Price: $0.99
Baby-cut carrots are great when you need a healthy snack, but they also work great in stews and other savory dishes. And when you’re spending less than $1 for a 16-ounce bag, you really can’t go wrong with the ones you find at Wegmans.

Wegmans Classic Original Hummus
Price: $2.49
To go with your baby carrots, pick up a container of classic hummus at Wegmans. And if you’re not a big veggies fan, don’t worry — you can still use it for other dishes, too. Spread it on some naan bread with falafel, feta cheese, and whatever else you want for a quick meal.
This particular hummus comes in eight ounces, or about $0.31 per ounce.
Wegmans Italian Classics Hot Pork Italian Sausage
Price: $13.37
Wegmans might not be as big on bulk buys as, say, Costco, but you can still find some great deals on family-pack items. That includes these hot pork Italian sausages, which weighs in at 3.35 pounds — a little under $4 a pound.
You can use these sausages in quite a few different ways. Cut them up, fry them, and add them to a pasta dish. Or make shrimp and sausage gumbo with them. Alternatively, toss them on the grill this summer alongside some veggies or burgers.
Wegmans Strawberries (Fresh and Frozen)
Price: $2.49 (frozen) or $4.99 (fresh)
Like most major grocery stores, Wegmans often sells seasonal produce at a lower price. Depending on where you live, you may be able to find low-cost corn, eggplant, cucumbers, strawberries, and the like at your local store.
And if you want something that keeps longer, opt for frozen instead of fresh. Take this 16-ounce bag of frozen strawberries as an example. They don’t have any added sugars and make for a great addition to your morning smoothies. If you’re feeling particularly creative, use them to bake strawberry bread.
Wegmans Mild Salsa
Price: $2.69
Sometimes, salsa — especially organic salsas or those from lesser-known brands — goes on sale at Wegmans in the summer. So, if you’re planning to have a get-together with your family or friends this summer, pick up a jar or two.
This option comes in a 16-ounce jar. It’s vegan and gluten-free.
Wegmans Raw Chicken
Price: $4.85
For a little less than $5, pick up some bone-in chicken thighs at Wegmans. They cost just over $3 per pound and pair well with savory dishes like pasta or even salad.
If chicken isn’t your thing, you’re bound to find other deals on raw meats and even some seafood at Wegmans this summer.
