2024 Toronto Pro Bodybuilding Results [LIVE UPDATES] – Fitness Volt (2024)

Welcome to the official results for the highly anticipated 2024 Toronto Pro Supershow in Toronto, Canada, headlined by the Men’s Open division. Aside from the Open, nine other divisions were featured at the event, including Men’s 212 Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Men’s Wheelchair, Bikini, Women’s Bodybuilding, Figure, Women’s Physique, and Wellness.

This contest was a qualifier for the 2024 Mr. Olympia. In the main event, Akim Williams clinched victory at the 2024 Toronto Pro Show, securing his qualification for the 2024 Mr. Olympia!

The annual Toronto Pro Supershow is a mega-event, known for hosting unforgettable bodybuilding battles. This event held on June 8-9, is considered one of the most prestigious bodybuilding competitions to take place in Canada. Last year, fans witnessed Iain Valliere’ swan song, which saw him handily claim gold before sailing off into retirement.

Fans were in for a feast of bodybuilding action considering a total of seven IFBB Pro League shows kicked off around the world this weekend. With 10 2024 Mr. Olympia qualifying spots up for grabs in Canada, athletes did not disappoint.

The Results for the 2024 Toronto Pro Supershow:

Men’s Open

Toronto saw several highlights throughout the weekend. Perhaps the most notable was the showdown in the Men’s Open class, featuring frontrunners Akim Williams and Quinton Eriya.

Akim Williams was on a mission to secure his Olympia qualification. In his last outing, he impressed with a solid sixth-place performance at the 2024 Arnold Classic, showcasing dramatic improvements from prejudging to the finals.

In Williams’ way was Quinton Eriya, who was easily the biggest shock of the night. He looked to have completely transformed his body since taking sixth place at the 2024 New York Pro. He split with his trainer Matt Jansen and the decision appeared to serve him well this weekend. He displayed a full look, especially in the lower body — even boasting striated glutes.

Ultimately, the side density and back detail of Akim Williams stood up to Eriya’s aesthetics and powerful front poses. He walked away victorious with ‘Beastwood’ taking silver. John Jewett slid into third place.

Men’s 212 Bodybuilding

Fans were in for a massive battle in the Men’s 212 Bodybuilding division. Among the favorites were Giuseppe Christian Zagarella and Esteban Fuquene. Both men commanded the stage with top-level conditioning. Zagarella looked to have tightened up from his last competition at the 2024 New York Pro, where he finished in fourth place.

Esteban Fuquene has been making waves in the IFBB Pro League for the past few years. His shape and muscularity make for a potent combination on stage. In the end, Giuseppe Christian Zagarella got the job done in first place. Esteban Fuquene finished second and Hossein Kalateh took home bronze.

Classic Physique

In the Classic Physique category, UK’s Niall Darwen became one to watch rather quickly, thanksto his impressive posing routine and symmetry. Having established himself as a threat at each show he enters, judges certainly took notice of him on Sunday evening.

In his last contest at the 2022 NPC Worldwide British Championship, Darwen shined in first place, a promising sign of what was to come in his budding career. Meanwhile, Blake Course was another top gun in the running for first. He recently tested his mettle at the 2022 Olympia contest, where he placed outside the top 15.

Showcasing a new look, Niall Darwen took home gold. Blake Course finished the competition in second. German Pastor claimed third.

Men’s Physique

During the finals in the Men’s Physique category, fans saw Drew Cullen emerge as a frontrunner. His ab and shoulder definition helped him stand out, which resulted in him contending for center stage most of Sunday night. Cullen last tested himself at the highly competitive 2024 Miami Muscle Beach Pro show, where he finished in sixth place.

Opposite Cullen was Chevy Phillips from Canada, who seemingly gets better at each bodybuilding appearance. He took sixth at the recent 2024 Optimum Classic Pro, looking to stamp his ticket to the Mr. Olympia. After enduring a fight for gold, Drew Cullen came out on top. Chevy Phillips claimed second place and Kimani Victor took third.

Men’s Wheelchair

With few opportunities for Men’s Wheelchair participants to earn their Olympia qualifications, pressure was at an all-time high for athletes in attendance this weekend. The finals gave way to a pair of top contenders: Kristof Hornos and Eugenio Molino.

Hornos’ upper body definition and stage presence made for an exciting showdown. In addition, it was hard for judges to look over his dominant chest. Meanwhile, Molino also brought an astounding physique. By the time finals concluded, Kristof Hornos cemented himself as the champion. Eugenio Molino claimed the runner-up position.

Women’s Bodybuilding

In Women’s Bodybuilding, fans expected a fiery showdown and that’s exactly what we got. Ava Melillo took control early with impressive muscularity and an aesthetic physique. She continues to make waves in the category, having secured first at the 2022 NPC North America Championships.

In Melillo’s way was Sheena Ohlig from New Jersey. She brought aesthetics with a combination of hard muscle, making her look challenging to beat. She last tested herself in fourth place at the 2022 Lenda Murray Savannah Pro. After some highly anticipated comparisons, Ava Melillo pulled off the win. Sheena Ohlig took second place and Nadia Capotosto clinched third.

Women’s Physique

Women’s Physique contenders put on a show in Toronto, all in an effort to earn gold and the coveted Olympia qualification. Fans immediately took notice of a few contenders, specifically, Olivia Bian and Tracey Guile.

Having improved immensely on the regional scene, Bian was considered by many to be a name to watch over the weekend. She has proven herself as a top name to watch in the highly competitive division. Judges swayed in Tracey Guile’s favor in the end, with Olivia Bian and Robyn Mays securing second and third-place honors.

Figure

It was an extremely competitive affair in the Figure category over the weekend. Canada’s Maggie Watson shined in her backyard, displaying next-level fullness and aesthetics. She last competed at the 2024 Pittsburgh Pro show, taking home an impressive fifth-place performance. With refined posing and a new look, fans were hopeful that she could come out of this contest victorious.

However, the conditioning and tight waist of Lena Ramsteiner set the table for a close battle. Ramsteiner has substantial experience competing at the highest levels in Figure. She last took 14th at the prestigious Mr. Olympia contest in 2023. While it was close, Lena Ramsteiner was crowned champion. Maggie Watson claimed second and Manon Dutilly secured third place.

Bikini

Bikini contenders stormed the stage on Sunday night, all eager to prove themselves as the best of their division. Judges wanted closer looks from Maxine Alexandra Somov and Cassandra De La Rosa, who both shocked the audience with graceful posing and top-notch physiques. De La Rosa entered the contest with some momentum after her sixth-place showing at the 2024 Klash Series Southern USA Championships Pro.

Meanwhile, Somov has also continued to improve drastically under the bright lights. Her last competition came in Canada at the 2023 Vancouver Pro. She took second place and was determined to win gold in this outing. Sporting outstanding symmetry, Maxine Alexandra Somov finished first, with Cassandra De La Rosa and Anna Setlak claiming second and third.

Wellness

Wellness athletes left it all on stage in pursuit of a cash prize, the Olympia qualification, and bragging rights. In the running for gold was Alexis Nicole, whose lower body density and shape served as her greatest strengths. She was beyond determined to win gold after coming close at the 2024 Miami Muscle Beach Pro show to Rayane Fogal.

Carlotta Tonelli also brought a showstopping package, complete with aesthetics and shape. She entered this event with some momentum after cementing herself as the third-place finisher at the 2023 Fashion Street Fitparade Hungary Pro.In the end, Alexic Nicole shined en route to taking first prize. Carlotta Tonelli and Celese Chandler finished in second and third place.
